Traineeship opportunity in Information Centre that we currently have open for recent graduates in Library and information sciences (or similar studies).

The selected trainee will be working with the Information Centre (InfoCentre or library) team of the European Medicines Agency, and will be involved in specific projects related to the research of a new IT software for the EMA’s scientific and academic library, as well as drafting guidelines related to the InfoCentre and contributing to the information and communication campaigns on the InforCentre resources to the EMA’s staff.

During the traineeship, the selected trainee will:

  • Increase their knowledge on management skills in the field of library and information science.
  • Gain practice in collection management and cataloguing.
  • Gain knowledge of innovative literature resources and information services and tools including electronic databases, online subscriptions and related management software available in the field of medicine and life sciences.

What we offer:

In order to be eligible to the EMA traineeship programme, candidates need to:

  • Be an EU or EEA national
  • Be a recent university graduate (graduated between 17 May 2022 and 18 June 2023) or a university student on an Erasmus + or a similar programme or a PhD student.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of English(at least level C1) and a good knowledge of another official EU language (at least B2), as per the Common European Framework for Languages.
